The Wenatchee River is a great excuse to visit Leavenworth in the summer. While it may mostly be known for its rafting spots, it also has some calmer sections perfect for floating and tubing. Bring your own tubes or rent from a local provider like RiverRider.
A great choice for a few hours of floating in the Okanogan River. Hop in near the Omak Stampede Grounds and pop out before the SR97 bridge. It’s one of the best ways to cool down after a long day in the summer sun.

You might be surprised to know that the Cedar River actually runs all the way to Lake Washington. That being said, your best bet for a relaxing float on the river is to head up to Renton and hop in near Jones road, exiting near Carco Theatre.
While many think of Eastern Washington as desert land, its beauty is not to be ignored. Especially because it has the stunning Yakima River. You can enjoy several hours of floating hopping in at the Umtanum Recreation Site and hop out before the Roza Recreation Site.
Make the journey from Sultan to Monroe by floating the Skykomish River. You can put your float in at Put-Sportsman Park and take it out at Lewis Street. Along the way, you’ll find plenty of places to jump in if you feel so inclined.
