Situated in the stunning Purcell Mountains, B.C.’s Panorama Mountain Resort is a fantastic place to centre your next winter adventure. The resort and alpine village are tucked away in some of Canada’s oldest mountains, offering 2,975 acres of skiable terrain and 135 groomed trails, and 50 per cent are suitablef or beginners and intermediates.
And if having space to do your thing is important to you, the resort ranked number one for having the most space per skier among the world’s 100 largest ski areas.
The vast areas of skiable terrain and chairlifts are spread out evenly across the mountain, making your experience all the more enjoyable.
Whether you’re looking for something thrilling like the 750-acre Taynton Bowl, or a more beginner-friendly run, you’ve got plenty of options here.
This upcoming February, Panorama Mountain Resort will have a rare night of cross-country skiing along a magical, lantern-lit trail. Waiting for you at the end of the illuminated, snowy path is the Pentagon Hut, where you’ll be greeted by a toasty fire.
Those who are up for a nighttime adventure are encouraged to bring a headlamp and a snack, though all ski levels are welcome.
While the ski resort is typically open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the lantern-lit ski session will take place after 4 p.m. on Feb. 15, 2026, after sunset.
Mark your calendars!
