Some of the warmest water in the province: This massive beach is among “Alberta’s best-kept secrets”

Where do you go when the sun is high but the temperatures are not? If you’re among the many who don’t want to waste a single summer’s day, you’re in luck, because there’s an extra special place where the water is pleasant, the sand is soft, and the view is wildly impressive.

Located just south of Brooks, Lake Newell is described as “one of Alberta’s best-kept secrets.”

Here, visitors can go canoeing, sailing, fishing, swimming, and are even able to do motorized water sports.

As one of the largest and warmest man-made lakes in the southern part of the province, there’s plenty of room for people to really enjoy themselves.
