This Washington Park has 697 acres of forest with groomed snowshoe & snow mobile trails

With winter looming the outdoors are calling in a totally new way. It’s time to grab your warmest jackets, and favorite boots and explore Washington’s nature. Lake Easton State Park is one of our state’s Sno-Parks and it’s gearing up for the season.

The State Park is located between Seattle and Ellensburg off of I-90. It’s a great destination for those in the city with limited time for an outdoor adventure. Plus the park is east enough that you might just catch some sun if Seattle is overcast and gray.

Over all, the forested park has 697-acres and 24,000 feet of freshwater access on the shores of Lake Easton. In the winter season, you can explore groomed trails for motorized and non-motorized activities December through March. There’s also a snowmobile trail that provides access to the groomed trail system in the Kachess and Stampede Pass areas.
