This park in BC has over 40 km of snowshoeing trails with panoramic views

Ready for a lesser-known but no less thrilling snowshoeing experience in BC? Once it gets a little colder and snowy, a trip to Kamloops is a great way to experience some quality winter fun.

Specifically, Kenna Cartwright Nature Park offers visitors a ton of options, including an extensive network of gentle trails that are perfect for snowshoeing during the colder months. Surrounded by views of the Thompson Valley and Kamloops Lake, the park also offers visitors panoramic views of the city and its natural surroundings.

Encompassing almost 800 hectares of Mount Dufferin, Kenna Cartwright is the largest municipal park in the province, named in honour of former Councillor and Mayor of Kamloops.

Trail difficulty is largely influenced by elevation change, which can be viewed on the park map.

Note that trails remain open for the winter months but are not cleared of snow, so if you do decide to make the trek, be sure to bring the appropriate footwear!
