The JUNO Awards are coming back to Edmonton next year

We’ve got good news for this city’s music lovers, and it’s not about Garth Brooks… Today, the JUNO Awards announced that Edmonton will be hosting the 2023 ceremony, and out of Rogers Place no less! Here’s what we know so far.

Hosted by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, the JUNO Awards are a celebration of all things Canadian music. Over the years, the awards have been hosted by some of Canada’s most notable celebrities, from Drake to William Shatner to Simu Liu.

What’s more, it’ll be almost two decades since the awards were held in Edmonton. The last time they came to the city? 2004, when none other than Alanis Morissette hosted them. Fingers crossed that we get just as iconic of a name for next year, hey?

While the waiting game for the JUNO Awards in Edmonton begins, we should remind you that this year’s ceremony is just a few days away! The 2022 JUNO Awards will be broadcast through most CBC outlets, including a dedicated website, on Sunday, May 15th. Tune in for a couple of hours and get excited for next year!
