Well, folks if you’ve been wondering about the future of our city’s JUMP bikes we have an update. And all things considered, it’s looking pretty good as Lime has added more bikes to the city. But that continued growth will depend on a few things.
In case you didn’t know, Lime purchased JUMP bikes from Uber earlier this year. And that means that the whole bike share program has slowly been changing hands. But things haven’t exactly been profitable. So because of that, Lime is hoping to expand into scooter share.

And honestly, we’re so here for that. Ripping a scooter around Seattle on a summer day would be so fun. But there are more safety concerns with scooters and the worry that bikes could become less appealing. And all that combined makes the future of Lime in our city a little iffy.
So while we’ll see up to an extra 1,000 JUMP bikes around the city this fall we’re hoping for scooters. If you’d like to learn more, you can click here. And if you haven’t rented a JUMP bike before you should give it a go.
