Seattle’s Argosy Cruises is suspending all service until 2021

Well folks, we can’t say we’re surprised when something gets shut down or canceled. And sadly we now have to add Argosy Cruises to that list. So if you were planning on taking a local cruise, it won’t be happening until next year.

And that makes sense. A boat full of people probably isn’t the safest activity to enjoy at the moment. But that being said this closure is a huge blow to the city. After all, Argosy Cruises has been operating for over 70 years.

And this move comes just weeks after the Victoria Clipper also suspended its services. So it’s looking like a very land-bound year for us. But if you’re dying for a ferry trip you can still take Washington State Ferries. And while we’ll miss Argosy Cruises this year we know that this decision is probably the best for all parties.
