It looks like a live-action Harry Potter TV series could be on its way

Rumours are swirling in the wizarding world about a potential new TV show on the horizon. Word on the street is that sources have told The Hollywood Reporter we could be in for a live-action Harry Potter series in our future. The series would be based on the über-popular seven book series and would bring our favourite characters to life once again.

Now before you go running to renew your Pottermore account or purchase an owl at your local pet store, you should know that at the moment these rumours are just that: rumours. Recently, HBO Max and Warner Bros. gave a hush hush statement to THR, saying “there are no Harry Potter series in development at the studio or on the streaming platform.” So take from that what you will.

Of course, even with that statement the rumour mill keeps on churning. Apparently, producers and writers have been having early stage conversations about the project. At the time this is being written, there are no concrete names attached to the series.
