There’s a magical holiday experience with a glowing light trail and snow dome garden in Ontario

Holiday Magic returns to Ontario’s most beloved winter destination, Blue Mountain Village, with over a million lights decorating the village and bringing the holiday season to life. With twinkling lights, festive activities, trails, snow domes and more, here’s what to know about the annual experience.

Now until Jan. 4, 2026, Blue Mountain’s Holiday Magic welcomes all to enjoy the festive season. Like every year, the village hosts a number of magical experiences that truly capture the joy of the holidays.

From special dining to outdoor adventures, there’s a lot to do and see. If the lights, bows, and garlands aren’t enough to convince you to take a trip, maybe the Interactive Light Trail will.

Holiday Magic Light Trail

Embark on a glowing, one-kilometre trail through a winding pathway, past snow-dusted trees and twinkling displays. An all-ages experience, the light trail features thousands of glowing lights, interactive light features, new themed elements and of course, picture-perfect photo spots.

It’s a free experience that does not require a ticket. The lights glow once the sun starts to set and stay illuminated until 10 p.m.

The magic doesn’t end there. You’ll probably be hungry after your little walk, so why not enjoy a cozy dining experience inside the Snowdome Garden?

Snowdomes

Until Dec. 21, 2025, visitors are welcome to enjoy a one-of-a-kind way to taste the holidays. Warm and cozy, these domes are a great way to enjoy seasonal eats and sips under the night sky.

There are a few ways you can enjoy the snow domes and the Snowdome Garden:

  • Cocktail Garden – Fridays from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 4 to 9 p.m.
    • Hosted by rotating Village restaurants, it offers holiday-inspired cocktails, festive bar bites, and cozy winter vibes under a canopy of lights.
  • Dining Experiences
  • Coffee Bar – Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    • The Snowdome Coffee Bar offers warm, festive drinks, perfect for a midday break.

These are just a few of the many activities you can take part in while in Blue Mountain Village. Its Holiday Magic site lists several upcoming events, including reindeer visits, the 2025 Caribbean Winterfest, and even an Elvis Tribute.

On top of that, enjoy fireworks over the pond on Saturday nights, weekend holiday music, and even visits from Santa on a horse-drawn sleigh.

We’re already nearing the end of November, so if you’re hoping to be part of all the holiday fun, make a trip to Blue Mountain. It’s just a two-hour drive north of Toronto, so if you’re up for it, make it a day trip!

Have some fun and plan that spontaneous escape.
