Here’s How You Can Win $700 while celebrating Earth Day!

Alright, Vancouver, it’s almost April and we can pretty much taste summer weather approaching. But before that arrives, we could all use a little help on knowing how to make living in beautiful British Columbia a little more sustainable.

After all, a healthy planet is a happy planet! So we should all do our part to make sure that this wonderful place we call home is happy, healthy, and here for years and years to come. And the best time to take action and make changes to live a more sustainable life? Right now!

Luckily, the City of Surrey has our backs with their annual Party for the Planet presented by TD Bank. This year it’s not only taking place virtually, but it’s taking place on Earth Day.

The free, family-friendly 2-hour event will include environmental education for all ages, musical entertainment, Indigenous performances, interactive workshops, and more. Oh, and did we mention that you can also win over $700 in prizes?! But first, let’s get you the scoop on what to expect at this year’s Virtual Party for the Planet.

The two-hour livestream will feature a series of segments from Surrey’s Sustainability, Parks, Transportation, Waste Management, and other departments. The goal of the segments is to educate viewers on environmental initiatives, and ways how you can live sustainably and contribute to a healthier planet from your own home. Sounds good right? But that’s not all!

All you have to do is share what you’re doing to protect our planet and live for a sustainable future. Whether you compost, use eco-friendly cleaning supplies, walk to work, or more- City of Surrey wants to hear it.
