Here’s a look at the new Washington state COVID-19 reopening plan

Surprise surprise, Washington state has a brand new reopening plan. But before you get too worried, it’s not much different than what we previously had. Now you can say hello to Governor Jay Inslee’s Healthy Washington — Roadmap to Recovery. Here’s what you need to know.

Healthy Washington — Roadmap to Recovery

This new plan is another phased reopening system to get Washington state on track with COVID-19 recovery. But what differentiates this system is the new 8 region system and just 2 phases. And for the purpose of this quick run-through, all you need to know is that King County is located in the “central” region.

To start this new system all regions will be in phase 1. And in order for regions to move to phase 2, they must have a decreasing trend in 2-week COVID-19 cases. Not to mention decreased hospitalizations, ICU occupancy, and positivity test rate. And as you might have guessed, if a county goes over these requirements they will fall back into phase 1.

Changes to what’s open and closed

When it comes to what is and isn’t okay, things will remain pretty much the same as they have been. But one key difference is that appointment-based fitness sessions are now okay. Additionally, outdoor entertainment venues are set to reopen at a limited capacity. But when things move to phase 2 you can expect it to be like last summer. And by that, we mean that most things will reopen with 25% capacity.

And on that note, we’ll let this be a gentle reminder to just stay at home unless you absolutely have to leave the house. And if you do, mask up, social distance, and wash your hands.JTNDZGl2JTIwaWQlM0QlMjJtb2JpbGUtYWQtb25seSUyMiUzRSUwQSUzQyUyMS0tJTIwU2VhdHRsZSUyMC0lMjBNb2JpbGUlMjAtLSUzRSUwQSUzQ2lucyUyMGNsYXNzJTNEJTIyYWRzYnlnb29nbGUlMjIlMEElMjAlMjAlMjAlMjAlMjBzdHlsZSUzRCUyMmRpc3BsYXklM0FibG9jayUzQndpZHRoJTNBMzIwcHglM0JoZWlnaHQlM0E1MHB4JTNCJTIyJTBBJTIwJTIwJTIwJTIwJTIwZGF0YS1hZC1jbGllbnQlM0QlMjJjYS1wdWItNTUyMTg1Njk1NTQ5NzQ1NiUyMiUwQSUyMCUyMCUyMCUyMCUyMGRhdGEtYWQtc2xvdCUzRCUyMjE2MjcxNzI5NDclMjIlM0UlM0MlMkZpbnMlM0UlMEElM0MlMkZkaXYlM0U=
