Here’s a complete photo & video recap of Alberta’s wild storm last night

Good morning, Alberta! It’s nice to see that none of you were blown away last night. We hope that you’re all as well-rested as can be, despite extreme winds rattling almost every window and door from Lethbridge to Fort Mac.

Just in case you were afraid to look out the window, or were just too tired to and missed all of the craziness, here’s a recap of Alberta’s most recent storm as documented by the wonderful people of Twitter.

As always, though it was a breezier day, to begin with, it still felt like it kind of came out of nowhere – going from ‘patio beers’ to ‘shovels at the ready’ real quick.

It certainly wasn’t long before the snow really started to fall.. at which point we kind of knew we might be in trouble.

With those on the roads in a hurry to get home…

And those who were already home, thankful but appalled as the wind started to pick up as well.

Some lost power…

Some lost sleep…

Some lost patio furniture…

And some lost their patience to Alberta’s storm…

But we all found a new respect for Mother Nature and are more excited than ever for the green grass, sun and fun just around the corner.

Yes, it might be a chiller, soggier day today, but warmer days are in the forecast, Alberta – and for that, we can all be thankful! Please continue to stay safe, be smart and stay cozy out there. Here’s to a beautiful Easter weekend!
