Here are 5 of the most expensive homes for sale in Calgary right now

Well, hey there, all of you house hunters, real estate enthusiasts, and thumb-happy tappers who accidentally stumbled upon this article. We wouldn’t necessarily say that YYC is best known for its over-the-top residential architecture, but from time to time we see a few that are definitely worth mentioning. From the outskirts to the inner parts of the city, here are the 5 most expensive homes for sale in Calgary right now.

Springbank’s Terre Blanche Chateau

Terre Blanche is an absolute beast with 9 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, a professional half-length basketball court, fountains, and a theatre; as well as a 6 car garage, elevator, a cigar room, and a 1250 bottle wine cellar. It also has it’s own website, and if that doesn’t scream “rich AF,” we’re not sure what does.

Where: 25130 Escarpment Ridge View SW, Calgary, AB
Listing Price: $9,830,000

Waterfront Penthouse, Eau Claire

This contemporary penthouse in Eau Claire would drip luxury if it was soaking wet. With unreal views of the city, the mountains, and the Bow River,  marble everything, and a kitchen sink designed by Porche (yes, really) this two-bedroom, 3 bathroom sky-castle is perhaps the most over the top in Calgary’s inner core.

Where: 1307-738 1 Avenue SW, Calgary, AB
Listing Price: $8,999,900

The palace of Pinnacle Ridge

This Tuscan-inspired villa may look like ‘just another mansion’ but rest assured, this place is anything but ordinary. With arched ceilings and hallways, luxurious finishes, and more space than a NASA landing pad, it may not surprise you that not only has this home been used in movies and TV shows like Fargo – but it was also leased to Leonardo DiCaprio when he filmed The Revenant. If only those walls could talk.

Where: 209 Pinnacle Ridge Place SW
Listing Price: $8,500,000

Greystone Manor

Oppulance is the word at Greystone Manor. With 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, and a 7 car garage there isn’t a square inch of this place that even so much as whispers “humble. The exterior is made of stone, tears of the middle class and brick, while the interior is decked out in carved maple paneling, rope, and dart moulding and “glazed groin-vaulted and barrel ceilings” and even features onyx countertops and copper dealing throughout. Fancy.

Where: 227 Church Ranches Way, Rural Rocky View MD Rural Rocky View County
Listing Price: $6,980,000

Rocky View’s Country Estate

This custom-built estate is as elegant as she comes.  With 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, and 3 additional powder rooms, this old-money mansion is large, in charge, and up for grabs! Enjoy unreal views, arched doorways, an incredible open concept kitchen and fireplaces throughout as well as a wet bar, theatre, and a game room – for only a few milli.
