It’s officially October, which means Halloween is just around the corner. We’ve got the biggest and scariest haunted houses in and around Edmonton right here for your convenience. Only the spookiest attractions lie ahead, so get ready for the scare of your life this Halloween season.

All the haunted houses

Dark

Dark at Fort Edmonton Park is one of the scariest attractions to come out of the city.

Enjoy some beats, local food, two scare zones, three returning haunts, and one new haunt you won’t want to miss. Dark is the ultimate Edmonton Halloween festival, so you definitely won’t want to miss this one.

Deadmonton

Deadmonton has been around for 12 years, and if you haven’t been before, you definitely have to go this season.

This year, Deadmonton’s three haunts are themed House of Madame Tortura, Danse Macabre, and Biogen Organics: The Human Experiment. Every time this haunted house comes around, it only gets scarier, so don’t miss out on the fright of your life!

Prices vary depending on when you go, so be sure to plan accordingly.

The Haunted Hike

After three years in the dark, The Haunted Hike is back for 2025 — scarier than ever. This year, the haunted attraction features a new building with brand-new rooms, interactive scares with live actors, enhanced special effects and animatronics, and so much more.

Just like Deadmonton, prices vary depending on the dates. The Haunted Hike recommends booking earlier October dates for shorter lines and lower prices.

When: Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025

Warwa Woods

The theme for Warwa Woods this year is The Children of Mother. For one weekend only, get ready for true scares with this Warwa Woods experience.

Warwa Woods acts as the Camp Warwa Fall Fundraiser Event. All proceeds go to its Friendship Fund, which allows low-income families to provide their campers with the summer camp experience.
