It might not always get the same level of fanfare as what’s seen on screen, but there’s no denying that a movie’s soundtrack is an integral part of telling its story. And what do masterpieces like Pirates of the Caribbean, Interstellar, and The Lion King all have in common? Their scores were all composed by two-time Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer – who happens to be going on a tour across North America this year.
With stops planned in Montreal and Toronto at the tail end of summer and in Vancouver this fall, the iconic composer is set to bring some of his best cinematic work to the stage, including reworked scores of his 500+ films, from 12 Years A Slave and The Last Samurai to The Prince of Egypt, and the newly released Dune: Part Two.
So if you love hearing your favourite movie scores live onstage, this is the ultimate concert to splurge on!
