This popular Canadian baking show is holding in-person auditions for its next season & here’s when

Are you a master baker? If you’ve perfected your grandma’s secret recipe, one of Canada’s sweetest reality shows might want you for their eighth season!

A CBC favourite, The Great Canadian Baking Show has announced that they will be hosting in-person auditions in several cities from coast to coast including Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal and Halifax.

This year, 10 contestants will compete in a series of culinary challenges that celebrate their diverse backgrounds, families and communities – and now is your chance to impress the judges.

Think you’ve got what it takes? Here’s where you should bring one home-baked item this February:

• Vancouver: Sunday, Feb 11 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel
• Calgary: Tuesday, Feb 13 at the Marriott Downtown
• Montreal: Thursday, Feb 13 at the Delta Hotel by Marriott
• Halifax: Thursday, Feb 15 at Alt Hotel, Halifax Airport

No prior application is required, however it is encouraged and auditions will begin at 9 am.

Not able to make it? You can also audition online – but don’t hesitate to get your ducks in a row.

Applications close on March 10th, 2024 and filming will be set to take place in Toronto late spring/early summer.
