This haunting trolley ride takes visitors around one of Ontario’s oldest cities

Spooky meets educational on this excursion through one of Ontario’s oldest cities! The Ghost and Mystery Trolley Tour takes guests on an after-dark journey through Kingston, Ontario’s hauntings including the Kingston Penitentiary, Bellevue House, and Cedar Island.

Getting there

The Ghost and Mystery Trolley Tour is in Kingston, Ontario. If you’re travelling from Toronto the drive will take you around three and a half hours.

The tour begins at the Kingston Visitor Information Centre located in the heart of Kingston at 209 Ontario St.

What to expect

The city is one of the oldest in Ontario meaning there are plenty of haunting stories and mysteries that surround the area.

The tour is 90 minutes long and stops at the following historic spots:

• Downtown Kingston
• Fort Henry Hill
• The Rockwood Asylum
• Kingston Penitentiary

The tour gives a glimpse into one of the stops – The Rockwood Asylum. According to the description, “Opened in 1878 and surviving until 2000 under various names, this building hides a century of dark and unanswered history”.

Get ready for bone-chilling tales and some seriously creepy sights!

The experience is best suited for guests 13+ due to the graphic and sensitive nature of the content discussed while aboard.

Tours run nearly every day and cost $46.50 per guest.
