Toronto commuters, it’s your lucky day. The pilot program for free wifi on TTC buses has been expanded to include new routes.
If you’re a passenger on one of the chosen routes, you’ll have the option to connect to the TTCPublicWifi network while you’re on board.
Then, you’ll have an hour of free wifi until you have to connect again.

According to the TTC, these routes now have free wifi for the duration of the pilot project:
This pilot will allow the TTC to collect data in order to potentially bring public wifi to all of its bus routes.
In case you didn’t know, free wifi is already available for transit users taking the subway.
TConnect is the free wifi network that’s available at all TTC subway stations and bus bays.
If your bus is heading to a subway station, you can simply join the TConnect wifi network once you arrive, so you can continue browsing.
Sure, Toronto may have one of the most expensive transit passes in Canada, but at least you won’t have to use up your data on your commute.
