There’s a big parade happening in Calgary this weekend & all city transit is FREE to celebrate

The sun is out, the air is fresh and with the weekend only a matter of hours away, we’d be willing to bet that you can’t wait to get out and about. This time around, do so for FREE!

As a way to celebrate the Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan parade, all transit throughout the city will be complimentary on Saturday thanks to the Dashmesh Culture Centre.

Whether you’re taking a bus or train, you’ll be able to explore Calgary without spending a dime – and there’s no catch!

The second-largest annual parade in all of Alberta, Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan is the city’s way of commemorating the Sikh New Year, and will run between the Dashmesh Culture Centre and Prairie Winds Park.

Heck, they’ve even arranged for charter busses to get you to and from the parade, so you can sit back and relax!

From a parade to FREE city transit, It’s shaping up to be a fantastic Saturday, Calgary! Get excited!
