Here’s where to watch free movies by the water this summer in Toronto

Picture this: It’s sunny and warm, you’re sitting by the water in Toronto and there’s a movie playing on a big screen in front of you. The best part? You didn’t pay a dime! Harbourfront Centre Toronto is hosting Free Flicks – a lineup of 10 movies set to run from June 25th through until August 27th.

Harbourfront Centre recently announced its summer programming and the Free Flicks are making their highly anticipated return.

While the lineup of movies hasn’t been released yet, Habrourfront Centre promises “ten free outdoor movies all summer by the lake, from popular films to favourite old-school classics.”

If you’re anything like me, you need a snack during a movie. No worries, popcorn will be available during Free Flicks movies.

The ten screenings will run all summer long starting once a week on June 25th, with the last film showing on August 27th.

Free Flicks isn’t the only summer-long programming happening at Harbourfront Centre.

Every Wednesday through the summer starting on July 10th there will also be Dancing on the Square, inviting audiences to enjoy the art of live dance by Lake Ontario.

Latin, Bollywood, hip-hop and contemporary dance are all a part of the lineup and audiences can either watch, participate or dance, learning fundamental dance steps for free guided by professional instructors in a fun and casual environment.

So much to do by the water this summer!
