Even for an apartment building, the rooftop pool is a pretty rare addition. But, we can’t think of a single other listing in all our time writing about nice houses that had one. So naturally, we needed to showcase this modern home located on the west side of Vancouver, if only because of the rooftop pool.

Located in MacKenzie Heights (one neighbourhood west of Shaughnessy), this family home has almost 4,300 square feet of living space to enjoy. There are 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and amenities ranging from a state-of-the-art sauna to a wine bar downstairs.

The home’s design is definitely meant to encourage indoor/outdoor living. The extra-high main floor features window walls that can fold away, opening up the space and giving a whole new meaning to a breathable home. While it’s not so important in winter, we can’t think if a better summer setup.

And of course, the piece de resistance is that rooftop pool. Alongside a patio and a fireplace, it looks like a fantastic way to spend a day. Read a book in a nice chair, take a dip in the pool… rinse and repeat. At least, that would be our plan, if we could afford the $9,980,000 price tag.
