A jaw-dropping new high dive show is making its Calgary Stampede debut this summer

The Calgary Stampede is known for going big every year, but 2026 is taking things to a whole new level. New for this year, the Flying Fools High Dive Show is bringing an adrenaline-filled performance that blends athleticism, comedy, and entertainment into one. The show will feature divers, who will launch themselves from heights of up to 25 metres into a shallow pool below.

So if you’re looking for an event that’ll get your heart racing, this is one to keep on your radar.

Let’s take a further look at what’s happening during the shows.

A mix of comedy, courage and chaos

This is not your average stage performance. According to the Calgary Stampede, the Flying Fools High Dive Show is built around a series of high-risk dives in which performers launch themselves from platforms at 3, 6, 9, and up to 25 metres in the air. The pool below is only 26 feet in diameter and just nine feet deep, which makes every landing feel even more intense from the crowd’s perspective.

At times, you can spot up to five divers in the air at once during a single sequence. And if you want an extra layer of spectacle, there’s also a fire dive where a stunt performer is lit on fire before entering the water.

And the show isn’t just about heart-pounding moments; throughout the performance, you’ll find divers dressed up in funny costumes and doing comedic dives that break up the intensity and keep the crowd laughing.

The Flying Fools High Dive Show will run in 20-minute intervals throughout all 10 days of the Calgary Stampede, making it easy to catch multiple times depending on when you’re at the grounds.

Best of all, the show is included with general Calgary Stampede admission, so there’s no extra ticket required to watch the dives, just show up and take in all the action.

So if you need a break from the food trucks, shopping and live music around Stampede Park, this is a solid place to pause for a bit. And since it’s a new addition this year, you could be one of the first to catch it.
