5 festive towns you can visit in Washington this holiday season

Looking for ways to get in the holiday spirit this December? Why not partake in some classic festivities like holiday lighting displays, sleigh rides, Santa photos, hot chocolate, and all of that goodness? Here are 5 festive towns you can visit in Washington this holiday season!

Leavenworth

Leavenworth is considered festive not just by locals but also nationwide. The Bavarian-inspired town has all sorts of things to check out between the Nutcracker museum, sleigh rides, and of course their holiday lighting display that lights up the town park and businesses.

Stanwood

Stanwood is one of Washington’s most beloved Christmas towns due to “The Lights of Christmas” holiday lighting display that happens each year. Visitors can check out over a million spectacular lights and dazzling displays, all while waving to Santa and Mrs. Claus as you drive through.

This coastal town is actually known as “Christmas Town USA”. But why? Well at one time, Shelton was responsible for supplying most of the nation’s Christmas trees. These days, the town still goes big, in fact, in 2019 they took the Guinness World Record for “Most Lit Christmas Trees”. This year you can visit for all sorts of lights, hot chocolate, Santa, and more.

Anacortes

What’s more PNW than Coastal Christmas? Anacortes is a great place to celebrate a perfectly PNW holiday season. You’ll find carolers, parades, holiday fairs & markets, concerts, art shows, trolley rides, and more.

Camas

The Southern Washington town celebrates the holiday season with photos with Santa, crafts & activities, entertainment, free hot cocoa, holiday shopping, art shows, and more! You’ll find a tree lit for evening festivities and snow might just fall.

Happy holidays!
