According to Parks Canada, “Clear, clean water, submerged geological formations (cliffs, caves, overhangs) and more than 20 historical shipwrecks offer a variety of underwater experiences. Everyone, from the novice snorkeller to the most advanced diving enthusiast, can find lots to explore and enjoy within the park.”

All divers must register and purchase a dive pass prior to diving from the Visitor Centre or the dive shop in downtown Tobermory but no worries as no registration or permit is required to snorkel.

When visiting Fathom Five National Marine Park you’ll notice some red chairs along the shoreline and in other scenic spots.

Those chairs are for guests and you’re encouraged to lounge in the Parks Canada’s Red Chairs to take in iconic views!

If you’re thinking about camping overnight there are some backcountry camping options on Flowerpot Island with reservations available to make here.

There are six tenting sites on Flowerpot Island, each with a wooden tent platform. Platforms require use of a free-standing tent.

The sites are all just a short walk from Beachy Cove – the main dock on the island!

If you’re just visiting for the day, daily admission fees are $9 for adults, $7.75 for seniors and free for anyone 17 and under.

Your next summer adventure awaits!
