Ready to unwind at a magical hot spring surrounded by picturesque mountains? It’s worth making the long trek to Canada’s largest natural mineral hot springs, AKA Fairmont Hot Springs.
Engulfed by towering mountains and dramatic vistas as far as the eye can see, the charming resort town is a fantastic place to set your sights during the winter months. Warm water, iconic snow-capped peaks, and a rejuvenating soak. Sounds like the ideal R&R trip to us!
With a daily flow of over 1.2 million gallons of fresh mineral water, the impressive hot springs consist of a large soaking pool (39°C), swimming pool (32°C), and dive pool (30°C), all of which are suitable for all ages.
Visitors can wade through naturally heated pools with odourless water, or opt for a luxurious stay at the resort and access to the guest-only pool.
The hot spring pools are open to the public every day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the season, with day passes priced at $25 per adult, $22 per youth/senior, and $77 for families (two adults and two youths).
Even better, a special late-night swim rate of $8 per person is available between 7:30 and 9 p.m.
Overnight hotel guests have unlimited access to the hot springs, including the exclusive guest-only pool, which operates at the same hours.
How to get there: Drive nine hours and 25 minutes from Vancouver via the Trans-Canada Highway and BC-1 E to Fairmont Hot Springs (5225 Fairmont Resort Rd.)
