All the fabulous events in Calgary celebrating Día de los Muertos

Día de los Muertos is a Mexican fiesta honouring the spirits of the dead, and the tradition is alive in Calgary as well.

In fact, there are a ton of Día de los Muertos events happening throughout the city, from the Mexican Consultate to beloved venues.

The day honors the deceased and is celebrated in Mexico and other parts of Latin America on Nov. 1 and 2.

Although it’s celebrated the day after Oct. 31, Día de los Muertos has its own defined cultural history and should not be confused with Halloween. Here you can learn more about this day’s rich cultural significance.
