This BC park is home to ‘nationally significant’ caves & scenic winter trails

If you enjoy caving, Evanoff Park near Prince George is definitely a bucket list destination, and winter is a great time to explore the area. So grab your caving gear and warm layers, and get ready to take on new heights – and we mean that quite literally.

Known for its extensive, ‘nationally significant’ cave system, Evanoff Park is a hidden gem of the region, nestled in the Hart Ranges. Famous caves include Tooth Decave, Window on the West, and the ninth-longest cave in Canada.

In the wintertime, the park also serves as a popular snowmobiling destination, according to BC Parks.

In terms of winter trails to explore, hikers have the option of taking on the famed Fang Mountain Trail near Fraser-Fort George F, which is considered a challenging route by AllTrails.
