Have you ever felt the rush of standing at the edge of a waterfall? If not, prepare to be thrilled by the captivating beauty of Eugenia Falls.
Cascading into the picturesque Cuckoo Valley, Eugenia Falls tumbles over the Niagara Escarpment at a towering 30 metres high.
It’s one of the tallest waterfalls in eastern Canada and has a fascinating history as an early hydroelectric power station.
Today there is a dam upstream that diverts a major portion of the river’s flow through pipes.
However, the residual trickle of water still creates a beautiful natural symphony, complementing the sights of the Eugenia Falls Conservation Area.
Located just off Grey County Road 13 within the charming Village of Eugenia, this area encompasses an impressive 23 hectares of natural wonder.
The trail to the 30-meter waterfall will also take you past a Cenotaph memorial and a cozy picnic shelter.
