A sneak peek at Toronto’s newest fitness and wellness club opening soon

Luxurious fitness and wellness club Equinox is gearing up to open its third Toronto location this year. There’s no doubt that the wellness era is here to stay, and Toronto is soaking it all up. Though an official opening date has yet to be set, we do have a first look at the location and what you can expect once it opens its doors.

Located at the new rental development on Bathurst Street, West House, Equinox will occupy 38,000 square feet, according to CBRE.

The new club will house exercise studios such as cycle rooms and a pilates studio, a therapeutic spa, a steam room and a dry sauna.

Also expect an on-site café, a store with dedicated merch and a members’ lounge area.

Toronto-based luxury design firm Nivek Remas has envisioned the space, transforming it into a sophisticated sanctuary that celebrates both the city’s natural allure and architectural character.

“Inspired by the richness of the city’s landscape, the cultural diversity and history of the city itself, we introduce Equinox as more than a gym but a social club, which symbolizes Toronto as the original ‘place of meeting’ – the hub of commerce, culture, and creativity,” shares the design team.

“Like Toronto and its multifaceted community, our design resists singular definition – it’s an experience as layered and dynamic as the people who move through it. Rooted in the raw strength of brutalism and elevated by the refinement of Equinox, each space becomes a personal and communal journey – tailored, timeless, and made for those who want it all.”

Its therapeutic spaces evoke a sense of stillness, while its fitness rooms encourage high intensity simply through their bold colour palette.
