This Ontario park offers magical autumn views throughout its forest hiking trails

Ready for your next fall adventure? Earl Rowe Provincial Park serves as a prime escape this fall season, to be one with nature, embracing the beauty of the colour-changing leaves and brisk weather.

Just about an hour and a half from Toronto is this lovely provincial park, offering a little of everything for outdoor lovers.

We’re talking canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating and fishing.

Earl Rowe Provincial Park also has two large beaches and multiple trails including one with a stunning lookout point you won’t want to miss out on.

Forest walks

Conveniently named the Lookout Trail, this adventure takes you to panoramic treetop views that are truly spectacular in the fall.

Hiking trails include:

Fletcher’s Mill Pond Trail – 1.5 km, Connects Earl Rowe Dam to the pool along the edge of the Earl Rowe Lake.
Rainbow Run – 11 km, Encompasses the entire trail system around Earl Rowe. A portion of this trail includes a moderate incline to a lookout platform.
Little Trail – 0.5 km, Will bring you out by a fish ladder and dam.
Lookout Trail – 4 km, Leads to a beautiful lookout platform overlooking Earl Rowe and surrounding area.
Resource Trail – 1.5 km, An easy trail to learn about the great natural resources at Earl Rowe.

Autumn is also the season of spawning salmon, and you can catch a glimpse of them at the fish ladder inside the park.
