Free holiday celebrations and over 150 glowing Christmas trees will line West Vancouver’s waterfront

The holiday season is never complete without the Dundarave Festival of Lights, which will soon illuminate West Vancouver’s waterfront with over 150 outdoor Christmas trees — the largest display of its kind in coastal B.C. It’s a beloved holiday tradition that’s entirely community-driven, which makes it all the more meaningful to participate in.

According to organizers, this year’s Dundarave Festival of Lights will be its biggest and brightest yet, with a series of free festive celebrations on four consecutive Saturdays from noon to dusk, in addition to its illuminated “Forest of Miracles.”

This includes the Dundarave Christmas Fair on Nov. 29, 2025, Nativity and Paddle Songs on Dec. 6, 2025, World Christmas on Dec. 13, 2025, and Christmas Wassail and Bonfire at Dundarave Beach on Dec. 20, 2025 (3 to 8 p.m.).

While these celebrations are completely free to enjoy, keep in mind that donations are strongly encouraged to help raise funds for much-needed local programs.

Forest of Miracles

The Forest of Miracles was created to end homelessness on the North Shore, one person at a time, with each tree illuminated to ensure no one is left in the cold.

The 150+ Christmas trees are lovingly decorated by families, local businesses, and community groups, stretching from Grosvenor Ambleside Galleria to Dundarave Beach, West Vancouver. In claiming a tree of your own, you’re helping festival organizers spotlight local performers who bring holiday cheer to the centre stage.

“Each tree in the Forest tells a story of love and belonging,” adds the festival. “They power up the Forest of Miracles Fund, raising charitable donations through the West Vancouver Community Foundation. Every dollar given supports the work of vital front-line agencies right here on the North Shore to prevent homelessness and provide emergency shelter.”

The Dundarave Festival of Lights kicks off on Nov. 29, 2025, with the Forest of Miracles running until early January 2026.
