Drake announces ‘October World Weekend’ fest in Toronto this July

After a long hiatus, Drake has finally announced the return OVO Fest with a new event called October World Weekend, which is part of the Road To OVO Fest Tour.

Drake announced the show on social media on Wednesday, which takes place just two weeks from now on July 28, July 29, and August 1.

The artist says he’s currently working on bringing OVO Fest around the world in 2023 for the 10th anniversary, “but of course we wanted to turn the city up for the summer,” he wrote on Instagram.

Performers announced so far include an “all Canadian Northstars” showcase at Drake’s concert venue History, which opened last year.

Chris Brown and Lil’ Baby will hit Budweiser Stage on Friday, July 29, followed by a “Young Money reunion” featuring Lil’ Wayne and Nicki Minaj on August 1.

Drake says more announcements related to October World Weekend are to come, and that tickets go on sale this Friday, July 15 on Ticketmaster.

The show comes just weeks before Toronto’s first-ever Rolling Loud Festival, the biggest hip-hop music festival in the world.

Some of the headliners include Dave, Future, WizKid, Lil Uzi Vert, Roddy Ricch, Migos, Nav, Lil Yachty, Pressa, Rae Sremmurd, and Roy Wood$.

Fans have waited a long time for the return of OVO Fest, and Drake did not let his city down!
