“Devon heaven”: This Alberta town is hosting a MASSIVE gathering for people named Devon

So you were given a super common name? At least you know that there’s always a community of like-titled people behind you and this September, one town wants to celebrate that!

Located southwest of Edmonton, Devon, Alberta is hosting what they hope to be their ‘largest gathering of Devons in Devon’ ever, and no matter how you spell your name, you’re invited!

Whether you’re a Devon, Devin, Devyn, Devan or Deven, head to the town’s Centennial Park for a day of giveaways, fun, sun and mingling courtesy of local radio station Sonic 102.9.

Set to excite and delight on Saturday the 9th, this is not the first time an event like this has been held, but it will be one to watch!

The city of Kyle, Texas has also gone all out for their moniker and even attempted to break the Guinness World Record – but were unsuccessful.

Of course, this particular event lacks any pressure at all, but if you’re still on the fence, it is worth noting that the first 50 people named Devon will also get a t-shirt and all will get a Freezie.

According to Sonic, “It’ll be a DEVON HEAVEN,” so don’t miss out!
