Ready or not, the time has nearly come to set our clocks back. Daylight Saving Time is ending, Alberta, and while we gain an hour of sleep, 60 minutes of sunlight will be lost to the year’s least-anticipated practice.
Set to end on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at 2 a.m., people from coast to coast will have to change every clock and watch in their home or office to reflect their altered timezone. Luckily, when it comes to smartphones, users may not need to change their mobile settings.

So when exactly will we see the sun?
According to Time and Date, this means that sunrise will now take place around 7:30 a.m. while the sun will start to set just after 5:00 p.m.
Sadly for those who loathe the tradition, Aberta has no plans to do away with it any time soon.
As per the results of a province-wide survey (which were made public in 2021), 50.2% of Albertans voted to continue adjusting their clocks twice a year, so get ready and stay ready – we’re one with the time change.
It sucks, but at least we’ll all be well-rested come the 6th!
