You can soon wade through a sea of floating cranberries at this Metro Vancouver farm

It’s hard to believe that fall will roll around in a matter of weeks, but that means we’re getting closer and closer to harvest season. The Bog at Riverside Cranberry Farm will mark the occasion with the return of its popular Cranberry Plunge experience, which is exactly what it sounds like.

Farm visitors get to plunge into a sea of floating cranberries, commemorating the turn of the seasons while knee-deep in the fruits of the farm’s labour.

The special harvest walk takes guests through the fields, where they can pick up fresh cranberries for their journey home, and get up close and personal with this year’s harvest.

Opening weekend falls on the last weekend of September, and co-founder Mandy Dewit confirms with us that the tentative opening date is Sept. 27, 2025.

Once open for the season, fall fun at the farm (including Cranberry Plunge) will run from Monday to Saturday until Thanksgiving weekend.

Note that the farm is closed on Sundays, and tickets for the experience will be available on its website at the start of September.

“Wade into a sea of floating berries, soak up the colours of fall, and celebrate the season’s most iconic fruit,” shares Dewit.

How much does the Cranberry Plunge cost?

The cost for the Cranberry Plunge is $15 per person (ages 5+) and must be booked online at a specific time slot, as space is limited.

Self-guided harvest tours of the farm will be available for the first two weekends of October for $12 per adult and $7 per child (free for children aged four and under).

Our farm store will also be open during the season with lots of cranberry goodies, baked goods, and beverages.

So there you have it, cranberry lovers! Stay tuned for more info about fall festivities at The Bog.
