Attention, country lovers! Canada’s Country Music Week might be in Edmonton this year, but BC residents can officially mark their calendars for September 2025, because the country music event of the year is coming to Kelowna for the first time!
Every year, Country Music Week celebrates the best country talent in Canada with a giant music festival and awards ceremony. What’s more, 2025 marks the third time the annual event will be hosted in BC!
“Since 1977, Country Music Week has only twice been hosted in British Columbia, and what better city to welcome it back than Kelowna,” says Mayor Tom Dyas. “The city’s country music scene is a vibrant part of our community, and we look forward to showcasing our thriving cultural scene, and world-class hospitality while welcoming some of Canada’s most talented country artists.”

The 2025 Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Awards will be presented by TD and include an ‘unforgettable evening’ of live performances and awards.
“We look forward to showcasing our creative and cultural energy in Kelowna,” says Tourism Kelowna’s President & CEO Lisanne Ballantyne. “We encourage guests to start planning now to join fellow fans and Canada’s biggest country music stars for an incredible week in September 2025.”
So mark your calendars, country music fans! It might be a while before the festival lands in BC, but it’s never too early to start planning.
