According to Numbeo, the cost of ordering a course meal for two people from a “mid-range” restaurant was $100. This, however, does not include your drinks which range from $7.50 for a domestic beer or $2.82 for a class of Coke or Pepsi.

Wondering how much it’ll cost you to get the basics? In Calgary, a 1 litre of milk will cost you an average of $2.54, $3.23 for a loaf of bread and $4.73 for eggs. Though our system may not be as elaborate as Toronto’s or Vancouver’s, Calgary Transit is still a great option for those looking to get around the city. It’s also fairly affordable. Hoping to take the bus or train, it’ll cost approximately $3.60 for a single ticket or $112.00 for a full month. Alternatively, gas will cost around $1.43 per litre.

$330.35 for basic heating, cooling, water, electricity and garbage? Unfortunately, yes. According to Numbeo, this is what it’ll cost to live in an 85m2 apartment. As for your mobile phone, it could cost you approximately $60.10 for 10 GB and data while internet will cost around $88.39 for 60 Mbps or more.

The big one! As per Numbeo’s report, the average cost of rent for a one-bedroom in the city centre will cost about $1,881 while a similar apartment outside the city centre will cost an average of $1,537.

So how much does it cost to live in Calgary?
For a single person to live comfortably, the estimated cost would be around $1,576 CAD – this, however, does not include your rent. The most surprising part? According to Numbeo, it’s actually 1.5% more expensive to live in Calgary than in Toronto, but there you have it!
