Calgary is getting a brand-new nordic spa & here’s when you can check it out

With winter just around the corner, Calgary is gearing up to open the Clear Nordic Spa—a brand-new way to warm up and wind down when temperatures drop and schedules get busy.

Wind Down Before the Holidays

Snowy scenes are on the horizon, but before your many holiday parties and family dinners, you can take a dip or get a massage at the city’s 4,000-square-foot oasis.

Described as “offering a one-of-a-kind experience focused on Nordic hydrotherapy, silence, and mindfulness,” the Clear Nordic Spa will open on December 7th, 2024, and has hot and cold therapies, saunas, and relaxation spaces.

“The elusive but attainable moment of stillness has always been at the core of my vision,” said founder Bryce Weeks.

“Whether it enlightens, energizes, relaxes, or transforms, that unmistakable feeling of true stillness is what inspires us. It’s our mission to bring these moments of stillness and reflection into the daily lives of Calgarians. I believe that one moment of stillness can spark a change in a person’s life and, ultimately, in the community.”

Of course, this “stillness” will cost you!

Memberships

Want to check it out? There will be two ways to visit.

“Clear Nordic Spa operates as a semi-private wellness club, ensuring a limited guest capacity for an exclusive and spacious experience,” they explain.

“Members gain priority access to bookings and amenities, while the public can book visits 72 hours in advance. The entry-level Alpha Membership includes one spa session per month with additional sessions available at $64. Members can also bring a guest.”

According to Clear Nordic Spa, memberships will cost $69 and include one 2-hour session per month, $119 for two 2-hour sessions, or $229 for four 2-hour sessions and a permanent locker with access to their swimsuit wash program.

Drop-ins, however, are $79.

The spa is located at 5629 Signal Hill Centre SW and will be open from Wednesday to Monday between 8 am and 10 pm and on Tuesdays between 12 pm and 10 pm.
