The St. Lawrence Market is hosting a job fair in Toronto this week & they’re filling a bunch of positions

Attention all job seekers! The City of Toronto will be hosting a job fair at the St. Lawrence Market in an effort to show solidarity and support with the merchants.

On November 23, all are welcome to the St. Lawrence Market between 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM to take part in the job fair. According to the city, this fair aims to help merchants in hiring staff for the holiday season and current positions that are available.

“Working at St. Lawrence Market is an opportunity to work at one of the world’s top food markets. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to start or continue a career in hospitality and culinary arts. Anyone looking for extra work this holiday season should plan to attend the job fair,” said Mayor John Tory.

Merchants will be on site to accept resumes and to do interviews for a bunch of positions like cashiers, raw food and prepared food sales, culinary support like cooks, butchers, and grocers, and customer service positions.

For some entry-level positions, you can expect hourly wages to be between $16 to $20 per hour.

Interested? You can access the job fair by entering through the St. Lawrence Market’s main Front Street entrance. There you’ll see City staff who can direct you to the many shops currently hiring.

So make sure your resume is up to date and be ready to bring it in!
