Cirque du Soleil returns to Seattle next week with a brand new show

Starting next week, Cirque du Soleil’s captivating magic will return to Redmond’s Marymoor Park. The traveling circus’ newest performance is a classic Cirque du Soleil show reimagined for a new generation with intricate costumes and an array of sounds and genres. It’s a must-see experience for those of you who have missed live performances.

Cirque du Soleil and Seattle actually have a long history. The traveling group has been visiting our rainy city for over three decades with all sorts of different performances, artists, and themes. While each show may vary, the one constant is the wonder that ensues.

As this show is a beloved classic, its reinvention is sure to be engaging. The biggest changes include set, costumes, makeup, music, and even the plot. Think of it like the show has been stripped down to its bare bones, the essence is still there but the look is entirely different. That fact alone feels pretty relatable considering the constant state of flux and reinvention our world is in these days.

So treat yourself to a world of fire breathers, acrobats, and pure artistry this month. As these shows are popular we recommend purchasing your tickets sooner rather than later. With that enjoy and have a great week.

Cirque du Soleil: Alegria

When: January 18th-Mar 13th
Where: 6046 West Lake Sammamish Parkway NE Redmond, WA
Cost:  $50+
