Cirque du Soleil is bringing one of its most popular shows to Toronto next week

The Big Top is officially making a comeback. Cirque du Soleil will return to Toronto this April with one of its most successful touring shows, called KOOZA.

KOOZA “combines acrobatic performance and the art of clowning, while exploring fear, identity, recognition, and power,” according to the description.

“The Innocent’s journey brings him into contact with comic characters from an electrifying world full of surprises, thrills, audacity and total involvement.”

The experience begins on April 7th to June 18, 2023. The highlights of the show include Hoops Manipulation, Double Highwire, the Skeleton Dance, and the famous Wheel of Death, an “enormous spinning contraption” that always has the audience on the edge of their seats.

KOOZA is described as a return to Cirque du Soleil’s roots, so be prepared for an authentic circus show experience, complete with clowns and jaw-dropping acrobatic feats.

According to The Toronto Star, KOOZA is one of Cirque du Soleil’s most successful shows of all time and broke attendance records when it returned to Montreal.

Last spring, Toronto was treated to the Kurios: Cabinet of Curiosities show. It looks like the performance company is raising the bar even higher this time around.

Unlike years past, KOOZA will be held at the former Mr. Christie factory site in Etobicoke, reports The Star.

The Big Top will return to the Lake Shore area in April and will remain in the city until just before summer starts.

Tickets are now on sale for Cirque Club members and are available to the general public.
