Edmonton’s massive indoor Christmas light show returns with a new theme

The popular Christmas Glow festival is coming back to Edmonton this year, and it’s bringing with it a new theme. The magical world surrounded by twinkly lights will be all about “A Fairytale Christmas.”

You’ll be entering an “enchanted realm” to experience classic fairytales, all while meeting some of your favourite characters.

“Come experience the magic of the season and help Santa save Christmas, while making fairytale friends along the way,” states the event website.

“Santa’s presents have gone missing and clues lurk deep within the enchanted light gardens and high atop the magic castle. Guided by fairytale favourites, you can help find Santa’s lost presents while enjoying over 100,000 ft2 of family fun through the million twinkly lights.”

Not only will there be a new theme among all the sparkling lights, there will be a Merry Maker’s Market at Glow this year as well.

Spend some time strolling through the market and get some holiday shopping done. Organizers say there will be “one-of-a-kind items to nourish your home, body, and soul.” So be sure to stop in and support local businesses.
