New month, new home? Across the city, many residents look to move around the first day or week of each month. And for those looking to rent a new place in Vancouver, the average rental price is hovering around $2,096 a month. But, it doesn’t have to cost that much, if you know about some of the best, and “cheaper” apartments around Vancouver…

And, thanks to Rentals.ca, we’ve got five options that are currently available as of March 2nd, 2022.

Here’s what you can rent for under $2,000 in Vancouver right now:

1644 Nelson Street- $1,410/month

This West End high-rise unit is an unfurnished studio, with heat and hot water included. There are laundry facilities in the building, and boasts great views.

 

8181 Chester Street – $1,850/month

Pets are allowed (upon approval) at this 11th floor, one-bedroom condo, which features views of Mount Baker and the city. The building has a rooftop terrace, fitness centre, and is close to Marine Gateway Skytrain.

333 East 11th Avenue – $1,900/month

This new condo in the community of Mount Pleasant at Kingsway and 11th has studios starting at $1,900 a month. There is a Rooftop BBQ terrace adult lounge area and a Rooftop children’s play space. There is in-suite washer and dryer, with some views depending on the unit.

1249 Granville Street – $1,950

Steps from Yaletown, Davie Village, and the entertainment district, this one-bedroom apartment features a spacious enclosed bedroom, den/office space, and open concept kitchen. Parking is not included.

1025 West 13th Avenue- $1,975/month

Ok so the price is a bit higher on this one, but it is a two-bedroom unit near VGH and the skytrain. It includes a washer/dryer, and new appliances.
