If you’re a fan of Country music, you probably already know that the 2023 CCMA Awards presented by TD were hosted in Hamilton on September 16th. But, if you don’t know what we’re talking about, that stands for the Canadian Country Music Association Awards and they’re a pretty big deal ‘round here.
The awards brought the glitz and glam to the red carpet, which included a dash of green thanks to the presenting sponsor, TD Bank Group (TD).
TD has been supporting the Canadian music scene for years and its sponsorship of the CCMA Awards is no exception. In fact, TD has been a proud sponsor of the CCMA Awards for five years running.
As part of this sponsorship, eligible TD cardholders were able to enjoy some added perks at the event. They had access to presale tickets ahead of the public and could ‘fly past the line’ to get to their seats at the awards!
But, in case you were too busy having a good time on September 16th, here are some highlights from the 2023 CCMA Awards presented by TD.
Jessica and Amanda from Nova Scotia were named the 2023 CCMA Ultimate Fan winners and, thanks to TD, got to attend the CCMA awards presented by TD live in Hamilton! They also got to go on stage to present the TD Aeroplan Visa Fans’ Choice Award.
The 2023 CCMA Awards were hosted by North Dumfries locals, The Reklaws. The sibling duo took home the Top Selling Canadian Album of the Year for their album “Good Ol’ Days.”
This Grand Prairie artist took home the reigning title for the fifth consecutive year in a row. Not only did she deserve it, but she also set a record for the most successive wins for the Female Vocalist of the Year award.
James Barker Band group won the TD Aeroplan Visa Fans’ Choice Award and the Group or Duo of the Year Award. As a bonus, the Ontarian band got to celebrate in their home province!
The band was honoured to be the winner of the TD Aeroplan Visa Fans’ Choice Award. This award category helps all fans’ voices to be heard. And of course, a deserving artist could walk away with a special CCMA award of their own.
So, whether you were celebrating in the heart of Hamilton or watching from afar, the 2023 CCMA Awards presented byTD were a great time. And with continued support from TD and its commitment to keeping the spirit of country music alive, you can bet that next year’s awards will be even bigger and better. Y’all come back now, ya hear?
