Lights, camera, action! Netflix is casting extras for a new Alberta-shot series

Think you’ve got what it takes to be on the small screen? You could appear in an upcoming Netflix original!

Directed by Stephen Surjik (The Umbrella Academy, The Witcher), ‘The Abandons’ will star Gillian Anderson (The Crown) and Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) as the adoptive mother of four young orphans.

While it’s set in 1850s Oregon, the series is actually being filmed in Wild Rose Country and according to Keep Alberta Rolling, they’re currently looking for extras with an Indigenous background.

“Required Immediately,” they wrote on their social media.

“Indigenous Men, Woman & Children. All ages welcome for a TV series shooting in Southern Alberta from May 14th – October 17th, 2024.”
