Canada’s Wonderland opens this week with exciting new rides & events

We’re just a few days out from the opening of Canada’s Wonderland and the amusement park has dropped all kinds of news in anticipation of an exciting season ahead.

Canada’s premier theme park will open its doors at 10 AM on May 5th and has unveiled its full lineup of events and attractions.

The opening day of the SplashWorks waterpark has been set for Saturday, May 27th at 11 AM.

This year, the park will welcome a brand new festival to its stacked summer lineup, as well as two thrilling new rides.

This season, visitors will get to experience the gravity-defying rollercoaster, Tundra Twister, for the first time.

The park has released a new trailer for the ride to get visitors even more excited for what’s to come.

It’s described as a “giant 360-degree spinning swing ride” and it is the “only one of its kind in the world.”

“Tundra Twister will have guests spinning, twisting and twirling upside-down at heights of 47 metres (154 feet) and speeds of 75 km/h.”

Also new to Wonderland this year is the new launch coaster called Snoopy’s Racing Railway, and it’ll take riders on a wild adventure.

As it does every year, Wonderland is hosting a wide variety of events throughout the spring, summer, fall, and holiday season.

That includes fireworks on long weekends, a week-long Celebration Canada party, multiple food festivals, and of course, Halloween Haunt and WinterFest.

The first fireworks show of the season will take place on May 21st for Victoria Day weekend, followed by July 1st, August 6th, and September 3rd.

A brand new food festival will join the lineup this season — Taste of Brazil will run from August 19th to 20th with delicious Latin American food and entertainment, including samba dancing.

An exciting season is about to begin at Canada’s Wonderland, and we can’t wait.
