Monsters wanted: Canada’s Wonderland will pay you to scare people this spooky season

Has anyone ever told you that you’d make a living out of scaring people? Offensive or not, Canada’s Wonderland is now hiring for its Halloween Haunt season and there’s a range of positions to apply for, and that includes monsters.

Our believed amusement park is getting ahead of the game and has begun hiring for its annual Halloween Haunt event.

Some of the available positions include monsters, attendants, performers and more.

No experience is necessary to get hired as a monster, as long as you’re at least 17 years old and have a passion for scaring people.

You’ll have to scare attendees as they travel through the mazes, and within the park. What fun!

“Enhance each guest’s enjoyment of a maze by scaring them as they travel through the mazes, while providing the highest possible standards of guest service,” shares the job listing.

The position pays $18.50 an hour, so you can make some pretty decent cash for it too.

You can also work as an atmosphere performer, which does pay more, starting at $19.

Not much of a scarer but would love to be part of the moment, you can apply to be an attendant which gets paid $16.20 to $18.00/Hr.

You must be available to work evening shifts ending at about 1:30 AM on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in late September until the end of October.

Perks

But scaring isn’t the only benefit of working here. Canada’s Wonderland employees get:

  • Free Admission to Canada’s Wonderland and other Cedar Fair parks!
  • Earn promotional tickets for friends & family
  • 20% discount on Merchandise and at select Food locations; employee cafeteria with discounted food
  • Free and/or discounted admission to many Ontario attractions
  • Work with a diverse team in a fun environment

Be sure to submit your application online! If you’re applying to be a monster, you’ll have to show off your skills with a short audition. Show off your best scare!

You can browse the full list of jobs on Wonderland’s careers page.

Now get ready to show off what you got.
