One thing’s for sure, camping in BC Parks got a whole lot more popular these past couple of years. And, to deal with the increased demand, a new system has been created to help you book the spot you want to. Here’s what to know about it.
Starting today, prospective campers will need to create an account on a special website created just for camping in BC Parks. Then, starting at 7 am PT on March 21st, bookings will open up for all campsites, cabins, and even bookable backcountry spots.

Luckily, the entire season will not be reserved in one go. Keeping in line with last year, the system will use a rolling, 2-month window. So, if you’re booking the day that it opens, it will open apply up until May 21st. On another note, groupsite bookings will not go live until March 24th, so keep that in mind if you’re trying to plan for a large group.
With any luck, this new system will lead to a few less headaches than the last one. We want our challenge to be ‘roughing it’ (very, very loosely) while we’re out there, not getting out there instead. To make an account for yourself, you can head to the BC Parks Camping website.
