Cowtown, let’s GET down! The Calgary Stampede kicks off on Friday, July 5th and you won’t want to miss a beat!
From concerts and rodeo to the market and midway, there are a ton of things to do and see on the grounds, but it can get pretty expensive if you’re eager to experience it all.
Luckily, there are several opportunities to get in for FREE, you just have to know when to go.
Want to save a few bucks for boots and beer? Here are when you can get through the gates without having to pay.
Want to kick up some dust after the Calgary Stampede Parade? If you’ve still got some energy, head to the grounds for a day of inexpensive fun! Admission will be FREE between 11 am and 1:30 pm.

Canada’s Favourite Coffee chain, meet Calgary’s favourite event! In 2024 you’ll have until 11 am on July 7th to enjoy FREE breakfast and complimentary access to the park. Enjoy! You’ve got a long day ahead of you.
When: Sunday, July 7th, 2024
Does your favourite person over the age of 65 love the Stampede? On the 9th, admission will be FREE for senior citizens all day long – but that’s not all! Until 11 am the Stampede will also be giving away coffee and donuts in the BMO Plaza.
Complimentary access between 10 am and 2 will be offered to the general public as well.
When: Tuesday, July 9th, 2024
Want to honky tonk with your toddler? On July 10th, you and your kids can enjoy a pancake breakfast in the GMC Stadium Courtyard between 8 and 9:30 am.
In addition, entry will also be free for kids 12 and under all day long – plus there will be a complimentary variety show between 8-10 am.
Not a kid? Don’t worry, because you can also get in FREE until 10 am.
